Neuro Tide’s reasonable adjustments coaching gives neurodivergent colleagues, line managers and HR a calm, structured space to design, agree and review workplace adjustments that actually work.

We help you move beyond ad-hoc tweaks and difficult conversations, towards clear, sustainable, legally-sound adjustments that support performance, wellbeing and retention.

We support individual colleagues too to understand their own neurodivergence and support their accommodations journey to find what works.

What Is Reasonable Adjustment Coaching?

Practical, Confidential Support Around Work.

Reasonable adjustments coaching focuses on how work is done, not on diagnosis or therapy. We work with neurodivergent colleagues, diagnosed or self-identified, managers and HR to:

  • Understand the role, workload and working environment.

  • Identify barriers related to neurodivergent strengths and challenges.

  • Explore practical, realistic adjustments that support both the individual and the team.

  • Prepare for and support conversations between colleagues, managers and HR.

Everything is confidential, respectful and grounded in real work, not generic advice.

Who It’s For.

Our reasonable adjustments coaching is designed for:

Neurodivergent colleagues who want to understand their own needs better and talk about adjustments with more confidence.

Line managers and people leaders who want to support colleagues fairly, but aren’t sure what’s reasonable or effective.

HR and People teams handling complex or sensitive cases and wanting a clear, practical way forward.

Why Reasonable Adjustment Coaching Matters.

Legal, Ethical & Human.

Under the Equality Act 2010, employers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments where a disability, which can include many neurodivergent conditions, puts someone at a substantial disadvantage.

In practice, this often leaves HR and managers asking:

  • What is actually “reasonable” here?

  • How do we balance team needs, risk and fairness?

  • How do we support someone without lowering expectations or burning them out?

Reasonable adjustments coaching helps answer these questions with clarity and compassion.

NB: Many neurodivergent people do not consider themselves as disabled, but often meet the Equality Act 2010 definition of disability.

Equality Act 2010 s.6 and schedule 1 (part 1).

The Risk of Leaving Adjustments to Chance.

When adjustments are handled informally or inconsistently, you can see:

  • Stressful, circular conversations between colleagues, managers and HR.

  • Patchy adjustments that don’t really address the root barriers.

  • Escalations, grievances or exits that could have been avoided.

  • Colleagues feeling blamed, disbelieved or forced to mask.

Our coaching provides a structured, neutral space to think, plan and move forward.

How Our Reasonable Adjustment Coaching Works.

  • We offer one-to-one coaching sessions where colleagues can:

    • Better understand themselves and neurodivergence.

    • Talk through their role, workload and working patterns.

    • Explore how their neurodivergent traits show up at work, both strengths and struggles.

    • Identify practical strategies and adjustments that could help.

    • Prepare for conversations with their colleagues and also manager or HR.

We focus on day-to-day work, not clinical diagnosis.

  • We support managers through:

    • One-to-one coaching to explore live situations they’re handling.

    • Space to ask questions they may not want to raise in a group.

    • Guidance on balancing performance, wellbeing and legal duties.

    • Help to shape and review adjustments that are workable and fair.

  • (Where Appropriate).

When everyone is ready, we can facilitate joint sessions to:

    • Bring together the colleague’s perspective, the manager’s view and HR’s responsibilities.

    • Explore options and agree specific, time-bound adjustments.

    • Clarify what will happen next and how progress will be reviewed.

These sessions are calm, structured and focused on solutions, not blame.

What We Cover in Adjustments Coaching.

Understanding Work and Barriers.

We start by understanding:

  • The role, tasks and core responsibilities.

  • The working environment, (space, sensory load, tools, schedules).

  • Where things feel hard, tiring or frustrating day-to-day.

Designing Practical Adjustments.

We then explore adjustments such as:

  • Changes to how information is given, (written, visual, verbal, timing).

  • Modifications to meetings, deadlines, priorities or communication channels.

  • Sensory and environmental adjustments, where possible.

  • Adjustments to routines, transitions and handovers.

The goal is to design adjustments that support performance and wellbeing, and giving clarity to expectations.

Communication and Review.

We also look at:

  • How to communicate about adjustments with colleagues, managers and teams.

  • How to document adjustments in a way that is clear and proportionate.

  • How to review and adapt adjustments over time.

Benefits Of Reasonable Adjustment Coaching.
