Neurodiversity & Inclusion Audits & Reviews.
Clarity, Compliance, Culture.
We help you understand how neuroinclusive your organisation is, and what to do next. Our audits are expert-led, evidence-based, and built to create real change.
Why Audit? Because Neuroinclusion Isn’t Optional, It’s Strategic:
If you want to attract and retain neurodivergent talent, avoid legal risk, and build a workplace where everyone thrives, then you need to know where you stand. That’s where our audits come in.
We’ve been auditing for neuroinclusion since before the current standards existed, and we bring deep, practical insight to every engagement.
Benchmark with our Neuroinclusion Score:
Every audit includes a clear percentage based neuroinclusion score, so you can measure progress, benchmark against best practice, and set a clear standard for improvement.
How we achieve your neuroinclusion score
We keep scoring simple, consistent, and evidence-led so you can clearly see what’s working, what’s getting in the way, and what to improve first.
Every neuroinclusion audit is agreed up-front whether it be the spaces, policies, processes, touchpoints and also the lenses we’ll assess through. We assess with the full neurodiversity spectrum in mind including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia and tic conditions, because different environments and experiences create different barriers and strengths.
-
We use a structured set of questions tailored to your environment. Each question tests one specific parameter in one situation.
That means one feature can appear in multiple questions because the experience changes depending on how it’s used.
A photocopier, for example, isn’t just a photocopier. It can create:
Footfall and visual distraction,
People-noise as colleagues approach/leave, and
Machine-noise and sudden start/stop disruption and heat.
-
For every question, we record what we observe and experience in situ, then rate it using the same three-level scale:
Not neuroinclusive = 0
Partially neuroinclusive = 1
Neuroinclusive = 2
This keeps scoring fair and comparable across rooms, sites, and audit areas.
How we turn that into a percentage:
Each section has a maximum possible score. For example, if a meeting room has 20 sensory questions, the maximum sensory score is:
20 questions Ă— 2 points = 40 points
If the room scores 28 out of 40, the sensory score becomes:
28 Ă· 40 = 70% sensory neuroinclusive.
You’ll receive:
Scores per lens (e.g., lighting, noise, visual distraction)
Scores per area/space (e.g., meeting rooms, desks, corridors).
An overall score (a clear, simple roll-up/average with the detail underneath.
-
Meeting room example: Multi-zone dimmer lighting might score 2, while reflective chair legs and echo, heavy hard surfaces might score 0. Result is strong lighting score but a weaker visual distraction and noise score, and a lower overall average for that room.
Photocopier example: Carpet may reduce machine noise (maybe scoring a 1), but if it’s beside a desk with constant foot traffic and unpredictable interruptions, location and visual distraction could score 0 or 1. The recommendation might be relocating the copier, zoning it, or offering desk choice, practical changes that quickly lift the score and the day-to-day experience.
This is the point of the scoring: Clear proof of what’s helping, what’s harming, and what will make the biggest difference the fastest.
Compliance Meets Culture:
Our audits are fully aligned with:
The Equality Act 2010.
The BSI 6463 Design For The Mind Guidelines.
We go beyond compliance, giving you a clear picture of how inclusive your systems, culture, and environments really are, and what’s needed to improve them.

From sensory accessibility to quiet zones and signage, we review the inclusivity of your physical and digital environment.
Products, services and supply chain.
We look at how neuroinclusive your external experience is, for clients, service users and suppliers.

Discovery & scoping. We help define the audit scope, as broad or as specific as needed.
Data gathering. We use surveys, interviews, document review and observations to build a full picture.
Scoring & analysis. You’ll receive a neuroinclusion score and a clear breakdown of what’s working and what needs attention.
Report & recommendations. A full audit report with SMART actions and strategic advice.
Follow-up support. We can support implementation, training, or follow-up measurement, if you need it.
Case study
Mark Charlesworth, Neuro Tide’s founder, led a comprehensive neurodiversity neuroinclusion audit for UKRI (ESPRC). through research, interviews, site observations, and policy analysis, he identified barriers in events, communications, workshops, and internal practices. The resulting guidance now supports neuroinclusive meetings and workshops across the research council, influencing national level inclusion standards and practices.
