Overview
This comprehensive evidence-based HR, manager and team leader neurodiversity training gives you the tools to enable fully rounded neuro-inclusive managers and team leaders. Beginning with a neurodiversity overview, we explore the management tools and mechanisms to support colleagues and leverage the talents of neurodivergent colleagues. We cover the day to day elements such as appraisals, meetings, performance management, confidence in conversations and adjustments, and much more.
Course content
Neurodiversity and neuro-inclusion for HR, managers and team leaders, by Neuro Tide
Part 1:

With the objective of building a foundational understanding of neurodiversity, Neuro Tide will introduce and refresh the definition and scope of neurodiversity, then explore the common conditions. Once we have defined each of the conditions we then delve into the common strengths and challenges. You will also learn about the importance of neuro-inclusion and the benefits of a neuro-inclusive workplace.

Here the objective is to identify and mitigate unconscious bias and so here we explore the types of bias affecting neurodivergent individuals as well as the impact of bias on decision-making team dynamics. Neuro Tide will share with you strategies to recognise and challenge biases.

The objective of this section is to help you improve communication with neurodivergent colleagues. For this reason we explore effective communication strategies and how you can tailor feedback and instructions. We also share with you active listening techniques and also empathy building exercises.

The clear objective here is to create supportive and accommodating workspaces. With this in mind, we explore physical and sensory accommodations, as well as flexible work arrangements. There are multiple options for assistive tools and technology and we’ll share this with you too.

Part 2:

With the objective of fostering inclusive leadership practices, we begin with a focus on the characteristics of inclusive leaders. We then delve into strategies for inclusive team building and management. We also explore encouraging diverse perspectives and contributions.

This section has the objective of integrating neuro-inclusive policies and practices. We start this with sharing the knowledge of how to review your policies for neuro-inclusivity and then sharing with you how to develop and implement new neuro-inclusive policies. We also explore the legal considerations and compliance issues.

The purpose of this section is to support you in being able to evaluate and improve neuro-inclusive practices. With this in mind, we discuss metrics and methods for measuring inclusivity, and also feedback mechanisms and continuous improvement cycles. We also explore celebrating successes and addressing challenges.
Woven throughout both sections
Personal stories and case studies
Throughout the session, the facilitator shares their personal stories as someone living with ADHD and autism. These real-life experiences are woven together with case studies and throughout the session to provide a comprehensive understanding.
Practical guidance and reasonable adjustments
It's essential to deepen your understanding of neurodiversity as a recruiter or talent acquisition professional, and so we also explore reasonable adjustments and new approaches to tasks, all of which will be shared during the session, woven throughout. You will also hear case studies to support your learning and application of knowledge.

Depending on the session and your needs, these can be throughout or at the end. But there is always time during the session, and you can ask us anytime later anything you need to help your understanding and application of what you learn.

Session length is two hours including Q&A and conversations. Part 1 and part 2 can be delivered separately, each one hour in length.
